"Ehret das Alte, waget das Neue", meaning "Honor the Old, Dare the New" are
words etched into a stone archway which is a landmark at the Starcke facilities in central Melle. These words have been our
motto for decades.

From early manual operations to machine sanding with high performance cloth and
paper we have not only witnessed but participated in all innovation.
Those of us who have a documented corporate history also wish to participate, in
actively shaping the future. Consequently between 1995 and 1997 we have constructed one of the most modern manufacturing facilities
for coated abrasive in the world.

Day after day mile-long lengths of abrasive cloth and paper are produced to "jumbo-rolls"
to a maximum width of 1650 mm. These are then converted into high performance formats. Short, direct lines of
communication allow us to react quickly to our customers requests.
